1. General Terms

1.1 These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tranquil Resort.
1.2 By confirming a booking, you represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement.
1.3 Tranquil Resort reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any such revisions will take effect immediately upon being published on our website.
1.4 Guests are encouraged to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.

2. Website Use

2.1 All information displayed on the Tranquil Resort website, including descriptions, photographs, amenities, and rates, is provided for general informational purposes.
2.2 While reasonable efforts are made to ensure accuracy, inadvertent typographical or technical errors may occur. Tranquil Resort shall not be held liable for such inaccuracies.
2.3 Unauthorized copying, modification, or distribution of website content, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited.

3. Reservations and Payments

3.1 All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation by Tranquil Resort.
3.2 A booking is considered confirmed only after receipt of full or partial payment through our secure online payment partner or other authorized modes of payment.
3.3 All rates displayed are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise specified.
3.4 Tranquil Resort reserves the right to revise room rates, packages, or inclusions without prior notice.
3.5 Guests are required to present valid government-issued photo identification upon check-in.

4. Check-In and Check-Out

4.1 Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM, and standard check-out time is 11:00 AM.
4.2 Requests for early check-in or late check-out may be accommodated based on availability and may incur additional charges.

5. Guest Conduct

5.1 Guests are expected to maintain decorum, respect other guests and staff, and adhere to all resort rules and regulations.
5.2 Any behavior that causes disturbance, damage to property, or discomfort to others may result in immediate eviction without refund.
5.3 Guests are responsible for any damage or loss caused to resort property, facilities, or equipment, whether accidental or deliberate.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

6.1 Guest-Initiated Cancellations

(a) Guests may cancel their reservations through the Tranquil Resort website or by sending an email to info@tranquilresort.com using the registered booking details.
(b) A cancellation request shall be deemed valid only upon written acknowledgment from Tranquil Resort.

6.2 Refund Policy

(a) Full refund – Applicable for cancellations made seven (7) days or more prior to the scheduled check-in date.
(b) Fifty percent (50%) refund – Applicable for cancellations made three (3) to six (6) days prior to check-in.
(c) No refund – Applicable for cancellations made within forty-eight (48) hours of check-in.
(d) All approved refunds shall be processed within seven to ten (7–10) business days through the original payment method after deduction of applicable transaction or processing fees.

6.3 Non-Refundable Bookings

Bookings made under special offers, promotional codes, coupons, or discounted packages that are explicitly marked as Non-Refundable are not eligible for cancellation, modification, or refund. Guests are advised to review such offer details carefully before confirming a booking.

6.4 No-Show Policy

If a guest fails to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior written cancellation, the booking shall be treated as a no-show, and the total booking amount shall be forfeited in full, with no refund applicable.

6.5 Early Departure

Guests who check out before their confirmed departure date are not entitled to any refund, partial credit, or adjustment.

6.6 Resort-Initiated Cancellations

In rare cases where Tranquil Resort must cancel a confirmed booking due to operational requirements, maintenance, or force-majeure events (such as natural calamities, safety concerns, or government-imposed restrictions), guests will be provided with either:
(a) A full refund of the booking amount; or
(b) An opportunity to reschedule their stay to alternate available dates at no additional charge.

7. Marketing Communications

7.1 By using our website or making a booking, guests consent to receive relevant promotional messages, offers, and updates from Tranquil Resort via email, SMS, or messaging platforms such as WhatsApp.
7.2 Guests may withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” option in the message or by writing to info@tranquilyelagiri.com.
7.3 Tranquil Resort does not share, sell, or disclose customer information to third parties for unrelated marketing purposes.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

8.1 Information We Collect and Use

(a) Tranquil Resort may collect personal information such as name, contact details, identification proof, stay preferences, and payment details for the purpose of managing reservations, processing payments, communicating stay-related updates, complying with legal obligations, and improving guest experience.
(b) All payments are processed securely through authorized payment partners. Tranquil Resort does not store credit or debit card data.
(c) Data may be shared with trusted service providers (e.g., hosting or analytics partners) under confidentiality agreements and retained only for the duration necessary to meet legal or operational requirements.

8.2 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

(a) The Tranquil Resort website uses cookies to enhance functionality, security, and personalization.
(b) Cookies may include essential, analytics, or preference cookies that help us understand site usage and improve performance.
(c) Guests may disable cookies through browser settings; however, some website features may not function correctly as a result.

9. Liability and Force Majeure

9.1 Tranquil Resort shall not be responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings or for any injury or accident unless caused by proven negligence on the part of the resort.
9.2 The resort shall not be held liable for interruptions or failures in service resulting from events beyond its control, including natural calamities, strikes, or government actions.
9.3 In such cases, the resort’s liability shall be limited to refunding or rescheduling the affected reservation.

10. Resort Policies

10.1 Occupancy Policy : Each cottage at Tranquil Resort operates on a package basis and can comfortably accommodate up to four (4) guests, ideally two (2) adults and two (2) children. Accommodation beyond four guests is discouraged as it may affect comfort and safety. In exceptional cases, an additional guest may be permitted subject to management approval and availability, with an extra bed charge applicable as per the prevailing resort tariff.

10.2 Pet Policy : Pets are not permitted within the resort premises to maintain hygiene and ensure the comfort of all guests.

10.3 Smoking and Alcohol Policy : Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas. Alcohol consumption is permitted within private guest cottages and not in public or common spaces.

10.4 Visitor Policy : Visitors are welcome in designated areas and must leave the premises by 9:00 PM, unless registered as overnight guests. The resort reserves the right to limit visitor access during high occupancy or special events.

10.5 Parking Policy : Complimentary parking is provided for all registered guests. However, Tranquil Resort assumes no liability for loss, theft, or damage to vehicles or belongings left inside them.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and all related policies shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu.
